Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at JHU

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Johns Hopkins University (Osher at JHU) was created in 1986 as the Evergreen Society with a mission to enhance the leisure time of semi-retired and retired individuals. Osher at JHU is a membership community providing a vibrant educational and social environment for mature adults. The Institute offers a rich array of stimulating courses, lectures, and activities, along with opportunities for social interaction during fall and spring semesters. The Osher courses and lectures are offered during the day.

Our programs are non-credit, delivered in a wide array of formats and locations. There are no entrance requirements, no tests, and no grades, just learning for the sake of learning. If you're  interested in cultural and intellectual growth, join our community of learners. To take courses through Osher at JHU, you simply become a member of the organization. An annual membership allows you to take up to 6 classes each semester for the Baltimore/Columbia location, or 4 classes each semester for the Montgomery County location.

Courses are now available at the Columbia Center on Mondays in addition to Wednesdays.
